Allina- Pin-up Fairy Completed

Here she is, Allina, the pin-up fairy sculpture. Her bodice is made from a mosaic of abalone shells. I sculpted her entirely out of the polymer clay, Cernit. Allina is fully armatured right to the fingertips. She's dressed in two different kinds of silk and her wings are made from fantasy film. I LOVE working with polymer clay and I think I get the most satisfaction from sculpting female figures. I guess I like sculpting what I know. Do all you ladies and gents out there have a preference on what you like to sculpt? I always find myself sculpting women in their 20's, just as I am.

Allina will be up for sale on my website after the online store is finished being built next month.

I would dearly love to sculpt fairies and babies, however, every time I try, I end up with Aliens and goblins. Grrrrrrrrr Heheheheh!!

Thank you Anna!
Keep at it Gina, use a reference and if you have to, print out a picture of your reference in the size that you're sculpting and use it to measure the facial features and body. Once you can get over that first hurdle of spotting anatomy errors, you will breeze through it a lot easier. But you MUST train your knowledge of anatomy. Study female models.
